According to the guys from TekNmotion, "the PulseWave has been in development for over 2 years and includes all the features a gamer could ever want." But seriously, what do gamers really want or even expect out of a gaming headset? All a true gamer ever really wants is a comfortable headset that they can use on-the-go and with very good audio quality. Specifications:
The ear pods are comfortable but a bit tight when placed on my head. But it's great that the size can be adjusted to fit anyone's head. - USB or standard mini-jack connectors Testing: To test out our PulseWave headset, we started off by playing a few rounds of COD4 and Counter Strike: Source. In COD4, while in the game, the audio was awesome from a headset - awesome for something with a price tag of only $59.99 at most places. One of the best parts though, was that with the "surround sound" feel of the headphones, I was able to get a good idea where my enemies were at and from what direction they were coming from. The second round of test is music. I first listened to the Whites Stripes. The sounds were crystal clear and you can really pick up on sounds that you otherwise might miss when listening through conventional speakers. The second album I listened to was the Angels & Airwaves' "We Don't Need to Whisper." This is another great album that I truly enjoy although it is sad that Blink 182 is gone. Again, the sounds were clear and crisp. Final Thoughts: The bass in these headphones was not what I was expecting. Honestly, I was expecting far less bass and some issues with mid tones but everything was surprisingly good. The lows are not as low as I would have liked. I know I am not going to get home theater bass out of a headset but I can dream still.
